Why is the voice navigation not working?

If you have a Cyclers Plus subscription the voice navigation should work normally however if you encounter issues, try the steps below to restore its function.

Enabling the Voice instructions

  1. Click on the voice navigation button on the map home screen

  1. There are three possible scenarios:

  1. Voice instructions are functional and there are no other notifications.

  2. A voice selection menu will open, where you can select a desired type of voice.
    In case the Google Text-to-Speach app is available, you can select this option. (An online connection might be required.)

  3. There might be an error notice because of the phone settings. The voice instructions could still be functional. In case the voice instructions do not function, it is necessary to install the Text-to-Speach app and repeat the setting instructions. (The online connection is required.)


Voice instructions scan settings


The app uses the same voice instructions language as text. It is not possible to select the voice in the app, but only in your phone settings. The steps below might be different for some types of phones.


  1. Open the Phone settings.

  2. Select the Language and input.

  3. Output text to speech.

  4. Select the required module (the icon on the right) and select Use system language.


Audio volume control


  1. Press the ‘Increase volume’ button on the side of the phone and open the audio volume menu

        2. Expand the menu and increase the Media volume to the maximum.

Other tips

  1. Check your network connection. Try to turn it off and back on. It could help restart your network.
  2. Make sure you have the latest version of the Cyclers app.
  3. Update your phone´s software to its latest version
  4. If none of the steps above work try to uninstall and install again the Cyclers app.
