How do I report issues with the quality of planned routes?
Although we are constantly working to improve the quality of our planned routes, there may still be instances when the suggested routes are less than optimal. For example, routes could pass through fenced areas, traverse paths that are not suited for bicycles or bypass available cycling infrastructure.
The root of these issues typically lies in the inaccuracy and/or incompleteness of the underlying map data, though sometimes the problem could stem from our Cyclers’ route planning engine not processing the map data correctly or accurately.
In any case, your feedback is invaluable to us. Reporting these issues enables us to investigate and, ideally, rectify them. Below, we outline a recommended process for reporting route quality issues.
Reporting from the app (Android)
The easiest way to report quality issues with the plan is directly in the app.

Reporting via E-mail
Alternatively, you can report issues by sending an email to hi@cyclers.app detailing any issues you’ve encountered with planned routes. In your email, include the following information.
- Link to the problematic route: Instructions for obtaining the link to the route within our application are provided in the guide below.
- Description of the issue: Briefly describe the problem with the route. For instance, indicate:
- Areas where the route passes through impassable terrain.
- Segments where there is a more suitable alternative path that the route should have suggested.
- Instances of inaccurate navigation instructions along the route.
- Discrepancies between the presented surface, incline, or traffic stress of the route and reality
- Additional information: If you’re unable to find a link to a specific problematic route or if the issue affects multiple routes, please provide more details to assist us in identifying and resolving the problem. This could include:
- A screenshot of the route from the application.
- The general area where routes consistently present issues.
- The time when you used the route planner.
- Which cycling activities are most impacted by the issue.
